Our Story
Fenis Senior Coloring Book exists because creativity shouldn’t fade with memory. Born from love—and frustration—for my grandmother, a vibrant artist who lost herself to dementia, this project began when I realized no coloring books met her needs. Existing options felt infantilizing or overwhelming, with cluttered designs that deepened her anxiety. Fenis became a labor of love: a bridge to reconnect her to the joy of art. Named after her fiery phoenix flower sketches, symbolizing resilience and beauty rising from struggle, each page is crafted to honor seniors’ dignity. Our mission? To spark joy, awaken fragments of memory, and foster connection even when words fail.
We serve seniors navigating cognitive challenges, caregivers seeking meaningful engagement, and therapists building therapeutic tools. Our designs blend nostalgia and simplicity—vintage tea sets, blooming gardens, handwritten labels like “Grandpa’s Fishing Boat”—to evoke personal stories. Bold outlines guide unsteady hands, while thick, premium paper withstands heavy strokes and erases shame over “mistakes.” Here, green skies and three-eyed dogs aren’t errors—they’re celebrations of unbridled creativity.
At Fenis, our values are woven into every page: creativity without compromise, connection through shared moments, and well-being nurtured by purposeful, judgment-free expression. This isn’t just a coloring book—it’s a lifeline. When my grandma gripped her first crimson crayon and whispered, “This feels like mine,” I knew we’d found something profound. Today, we stand for every senior who deserves to create, remember, and feel seen. Because love doesn’t disappear with memory; it simply finds new ways to bloom.
Dedicated to every “Fenis” still rising, one vibrant stroke at a time.
