Getting Started with Coloring

I’m new to adult coloring. Where do I begin?

Start with the book that speaks to you most. Pick up colored pencils, crayons, gel pens, or markers, and begin with any page that feels inviting.

There is no right or wrong way to color. Fenis books are designed to help you slow down, relax, and enjoy the simple act of creating.

Is this only for artists?

Not at all. Fenis is for anyone who wants a quiet, creative break. You do not need special skills, training, or experience.

Coloring is about the process, not perfection. It is a simple way to step away from screens, calm a busy mind, and enjoy making something with your hands.

How does coloring help with stress?

Coloring gives your mind something gentle to focus on. Choosing colors, filling in shapes, and moving slowly across the page can create a calming rhythm.

It is not about doing it perfectly. It is about giving yourself a screen-free moment to breathe, focus, and reset.

Do you offer digital downloads?

At this time, Fenis focuses on physical coloring books. We believe part of the experience is holding the book, turning the pages, and seeing your finished artwork come to life on paper.

What makes Fenis coloring books different?

Fenis books are designed to feel calm, grown-up, and easy to enjoy. Our pages feature clear artwork, thoughtful spacing, and themes that invite relaxation without feeling childish or overwhelming.

Are the pages single-sided?

Yes. Fenis coloring pages are designed to be single-sided so you can enjoy each design without worrying about artwork on the back of the page.

Single-sided pages also make it easier to remove, display, or share a finished piece.

Will markers bleed through?

Markers and gel pens can sometimes bleed through depending on the type of tool, how much ink is used, and the printing format.

For best results, we recommend placing a spare sheet of paper behind the page you are coloring, especially when using markers, gel pens, or heavier ink.

What coloring tools work best?

Colored pencils and crayons are great everyday choices. Gel pens and markers can also work well, especially for bold color and detail.

If using markers, alcohol markers, or very juicy gel pens, place a protective sheet behind your page first.

Can I use watercolor?

We do not recommend heavy watercolor use. Light watercolor brush pens may work for some colorists, but too much moisture can cause pages to warp.

For the best experience, we recommend colored pencils, crayons, gel pens, or markers with a protective backing sheet.

Are the designs very intricate?

Fenis designs are made to be engaging without feeling overwhelming. Some pages may have more detail than others, but the goal is always to keep the experience relaxing, approachable, and enjoyable.

Coloring Tips

How do I blend colors smoothly?

With colored pencils, start with light pressure and build color in layers. Use a lighter shade first, then add deeper tones gradually.

With markers or gel pens, work slowly and test your colors on a separate sheet first if you are unsure how they will look.

How do I make my coloring look less flat?

Use more than one shade of the same color. For example, choose a light green, medium green, and dark green for leaves.

Use the lighter shade where the light would hit, the medium shade as your base, and the darker shade for shadows or edges.

What if I lose focus halfway through a page?

Take a break. Your page will be waiting for you.

Coloring should not feel like pressure. You can finish a page in one sitting, return to it later, or leave it exactly as it is.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping times depend on the product, order destination, and fulfillment method. Estimated shipping details will be shown at checkout when available.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order and delivery location.

If a free shipping promotion is available, it will be shown during checkout.

Returns and Exchanges

What is your return policy?

Because coloring books are printed products, we currently accept return requests only if an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Please contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the issue. Once reviewed, we may offer a replacement, refund, store credit, or additional instructions depending on the situation.

Can I return a book if I changed my mind?

At this time, we cannot accept returns for buyer’s remorse, change of mind, or partially used books.

We are a small business, and we appreciate your understanding.

Bulk Orders and Gifting

Do you offer bulk orders?

Yes. If you are ordering for a group, event, activity program, office, or gift set, please contact us at info@shopfenis.com with the quantity you need and your shipping location.

Can I include a gift message?

If gift notes are available at checkout, you can add your message in the order notes section.
